Sticks Lacrosse's Philosophy
Sticks Lacrosse is one of the few coed lacrosse camps in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. The director and staff aim to make every player feel welcome in a safe, supportive environment. We want the campers to learn, have fun, and meet new friends. We welcome all players regardless of their level of lacrosse experience. Camper to coach ratio is approximately 5:1.

About the Director
Coach Malcolm Lester has been the head lacrosse coach of nationally-ranked St. Albans School for 16 years. At St. Albans, he also directs the Skip Grant Program, the school's support and guidance program, and teaches high school English. He was the 2002 Lacrosse "Man of the Year" and the Washington region’s 1994 "Coach of the Year." He earned lacrosse All-American and Academic All-American honors during college. Coach Lester is the father of three young children, the oldest of whom are enthusiastic Sticks campers.
About the Staff
The Sticks Lacrosse staff includes current male and female college and high school lacrosse players, as well as high school coaches. Recent Sticks coaches have been from the National Cathedral School, St. Albans, University of Virginia, Middlebury College, Hamilton College, and Princeton University. Among the coaches are college All Americans, college Academic All Americans, high school All Americans, Washington Post All-Met Players, and a Washington Post Player of the Year. Several coaches have participated on national championship teams on the college level.
About Assistant Coaches
Assistant Coaches assist the staff but also receive lacrosse instruction and participate in some drills while being closely supervised. This is a great mentoring and leadership opportunity for 13 & 14-year old males and females.
